Dr. Aly Kanani to reach beyond his credentials by constantly updating his knowledge and skills through research and continuing education. He participates in and hosts numerous lectures and academic programs for doctors, clinical technicians and clerical staff. He researches the most current advances in patient care and employs those that will benefit his patients’ treatment and orthodontic experience.

Dr. Kanani is a certified member of the Canadian Dental Association and the Canadian Association of Orthodontics, the BC Society of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the Fraser Valley Dental Society, the World Federation of Orthodontists, and the Northwest Dental Study Club, in Langley, BC.. He is also a member of the Invisalign Elite Preferred Providers, lifetime member of the UBC Chancellors Circle, and a former Clinical Assistant Professor at the UBC Faculty of Dentistry.

My goal is to create an adult smile for an adolescent to grow into, not an adolescent smile that an adult will grow out of!”

Dr. Aly Kanani was born and raised in the Lower Mainland Area. He has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Physiology from McGill University and received a Masters of Science (M.Sc) from the London School of Economics in England. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.) and also completed his Masters in Education degree (MS.Ed) at the University of Pennsylvania. Furthermore, he has nearly completed his Masters in Public Health degree (M.P.H.) from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Kanani graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy with a Masters of Science degree in Orthodontics (MS.Ortho) and a Specialty Certification in Orthodontics (Cert.Ortho).

The Kanani's have been active in Langley, Surrey, Cloverdale, North Delta, and surrounding communities since they moved back to the Surrey area nearly 6 years ago. They actively support numerous schools, churches, athletic programs, and charities in the area. Dr. Kanani enjoys golf, spending time with his family and seeing patients with their new, beautiful smiles!

About Dr. Michelle Couto

Dr. Michelle Couto is a Certified Specialist in Orthodontics who works alongside Dr. Aly Kanani at his Langley Orthodontics specialty practice.  She is also practices part-time in both Coquitlam and Maple Ridge.
